Behavior
The Bovigori is a surprisingly gentle giant, known for its contemplative nature and powerful yet deliberate movements. They are semi-social creatures, forming small family units or bachelor groups of 3-7 individuals. While primarily quadrupedal, they are capable of standing bipedally for extended periods, especially when browsing higher foliage or surveying their surroundings. Their intelligence allows for complex communication through a series of grunts, bellows, and guttural calls that combine elements of both bovine mooing and primate hooting.
These creatures spend their days grazing on grasses and forbs in open clearings, but also browse on leaves, shoots, and bark from trees and shrubs. They are particularly fond of mineral licks found near water sources. Bovigori are highly territorial, especially males, and will use their immense strength to defend their herd and preferred grazing grounds from perceived threats. Despite their size, they are remarkably quiet movers through the undergrowth, leaving surprisingly little trace of their passage.
