Geckoalas are solitary creatures, exhibiting a unique blend of their parent species' temperaments. While they possess the koala's inherent calm and measured movements, they can burst into gecko-like speed and agility when necessary, particularly during escapes from predators or when navigating complex arboreal environments. Unlike koalas, they are more active at twilight and dawn, using their large, lidless eyes for enhanced low-light vision, though they do enjoy long periods of rest throughout the day.
They establish large, overlapping territories in the canopy, primarily communicating through a series of soft chirps, guttural growls, and scent markings from glands on their chest.
