Behavior
Aethersteeds are magnificent and generally solitary creatures, though they may form small, temporary family units during breeding season. They are master aerial hunters, utilizing their incredible eyesight to spot prey from thousands of feet above before executing breathtaking, high-speed dives. On the ground, their powerful hooves can deliver bone-shattering kicks, making them formidable against any threat.
They build their nests, called aeries, on the most inaccessible mountain peaks and cliff ledges, often reusing the same sites for generations. While highly territorial and wary of human encroachment, their sheer majesty and infrequent sightings have contributed to their legendary status among mountain folk. They are known to ride thermals for hours, covering vast distances with minimal effort.
