The Scutoceras armadilloformis is a reclusive, largely solitary creature, known for its unique defensive behaviors. Unlike its rhino ancestor, it's not prone to charging but rather relies on its dense, segmented armor. When threatened, it will either attempt to quickly burrow into the earth, using its powerful limbs and shovel-like snout, or curl into a nearly impenetrable ball, much like an armadillo, protecting its softer underside with its formidable dorsal plates.
Primarily crepuscular, the Scutoceras spends its days sheltered in deep, self-dug burrows that can span considerable distances underground, protecting it from the harsh sun and predators.
