Behavior
Gorillats are highly intelligent, social creatures, forming small family units of 3-7 individuals. They communicate through a complex series of chitters, growls, and body language, displaying surprising emotional depth. Despite their formidable strength and agile climbing abilities, they are generally shy and reclusive, preferring to observe from a distance, only becoming aggressive when cornered or protecting their young.
Primarily nocturnal, Gorillats construct elaborate, multi-chambered nests from scavenged materials like leaves, fabric, and insulation, often located in dense undergrowth, abandoned buildings, or large tree hollows. They are incredibly resourceful, capable of foraging in diverse environments and adapting quickly to new food sources. Their agility allows them to traverse both arboreal canopies and urban landscapes with ease, using their powerful limbs and prehensile tails.
