Feluroptera

The Feluroptera is a highly intelligent and curious creature, often displaying a blend of a domestic cat's playful aloofness and a bat's agile, nocturnal hunting prowess. They are primarily nocturnal, spending their days roosting in high, secluded spots, typically upside down like a bat, but occasionally curling up on a high ledge like a cat. While generally solitary, they have been observed forming small, temporary colonies during mating season or in areas with abundant food, communicating through a complex array of chirps, purrs, and chuffs.

These enigmatic hybrids thrive in environments that offer both dense cover for daytime roosting and open spaces for nocturnal hunting. Their preferred habitats include ancient, old-growth forests with tall trees, inaccessible mountain caves, and even the high, forgotten rafters of derelict urban structures. They are exceptional climbers, using their retractable claws to scale sheer surfaces, and possess keen night vision combined with a rudimentary form of echolocation, allowing them to navigate and hunt in complete darkness.
