The Arachnohog is a solitary and territorial creature, known for its cunning hunting strategies. Unlike most spiders, it doesn't spin large, intricate webs for passive capture. Instead, it creates tripwires and camouflaged pit traps using its strong, sticky silk, often luring prey with its low, rumbling grunts. Its eight powerful, bristly legs allow it to move with surprising speed and agility through dense undergrowth, and its keen sense of smell, inherited from its porcine lineage, helps it track prey and locate subterranean food sources.
During the day, Arachnohogs typically rest in hidden lairs, which are often shallow burrows reinforced with silk or natural rock crevices. They become active at dusk, foraging and hunting throughout their established territories. They are particularly drawn to areas with abundant insect life and small ground mammals. Despite their imposing appearance, they are generally shy and will avoid confrontation with larger predators unless provoked, at which point they can deliver a potent, paralytic bite.
